Dismal River - 36 Holes From Heaven
If golf is a journey, then your adventure to Dismal River will start when you turn off the main road (Road 3401) on to Dismall River Tail. A 25 mile narrow winding single lane road that carves through the wispy prairie grass and mountainous sand hills. You will know you are there when you see a fortress on the hill consisting of a rustic cabins and a massive clubhouse.
If Dismal River is on your bucket list, you better cozy up to a member. To play the ultra private club you must be a guest of a member.
Dismal River started off with a Nicklaus course that is a roller coaster ride with twists and turns. Doak opened a second 18 in 2014. Both courses are 5 stars!!

I would play this course again.
