Erin Hills - The Kettle Loop
New for 2018: The Kettle Loop
Erin Hills, the host of the 2017 US Open, created a five hole loop for late arriving overnight guests who do not have time for 9 or 18 holes. The later afternoon loop will provide golfers an option to preview the golf course. While the Kettle Loop is made up of the first few holes it will not spoil a traditional round as the track provides a completely different look utilizing new (or not often used) tee boxes.
The Kettle Loop Preview
1st Hole: The opening hole plays from a new tee box located near the fire pits in front of the Lodge.
2nd Hole: Move up to the gold tees and play the second hole as a long par 3 or short par 4. (Take notice of the green and pin position prior to deciding)
3rd Hole: The third hole stretches from a par 4 to a long challenging par 5 when played from the black tee. Golfers will have a decision to make on their second shot on how to negotiate the bunker.
4th Hole: A new tee box was added in the right rough of the 5th hole. Hole 4 will be played as a medium-length par-3 to the 5th green.
5th Hole: The closing hole plays from the Blue tee (208 yards) on the 6th hole to the 6th green.
After your Loop round, transportation will return you back to the Irish Pub.

Are you ready for your next golf destination? Tucked away in scenic Southern Indiana, Sultan's Run is located in Jasper, which was named one of America's 25 best small towns to visit. Our facility is easily accessible from major cities including Evansville, Indianapolis, Louisville, Cincinnati, Nashville and only 25 miles southwest of French Lick Resort.
This course is a must see! Beautifully designed amid rolling hills and wildlife, each hole presents its own vista and finishes with a waterfall at the 18th Hole. The layout is challenging from all tees with maximum length at 6800+ yards. The Club House offers stunning views of the course, friendly staff and great food! Sultan's Run was rated Five Stars by Golf Week and voted The #1 Golf Course in the State of Indiana in 2015 by The Indiana Golf Course Owners Association. Years ago the course's lush land was home to Supreme Sultan, a horse of history and a legend in his time. It was over these hills and valleys of picturesque beauty that Supreme Sultan sired a record number of World Champion American Saddlebred horses. Now, this same ground recalls the heritage of Supreme Sultan as an engraved stone marks each unique and challenging tee box, memorializing the name of one of these World Champions. From its very beginning, this land was destined for greatness, but few would have predicted the creation of a world class golf course that would entice champions.
Sultan's Run opened in 1992, but then embarked on an extensive remodeling project in 1996, taking the golf course to the pinnacle of public golf. Designer Tim Liddy, a disciple of world renowned architect Pete Dye, took what the land already offered, and enhanced it. Over the past several years, all 18 holes at Sultan's Run Golf Club have been beautified in some shape or form from entirely new bunkering and reconstructed greens, to a complete rework of several holes. Sultan's Run has become a golf facility that golfers will talk about long after their round is done.
Come and experience it for yourself! Book a Stay and Play Package through local hotels or French Lick Resort. Call 812-482-1009 or visit www.sultansrun.com for more information.

The Flower hole at SentryWorld
SentryWorld Golf Course in Stevens Point, Wis., has been selected by the USGA as the host site for the 71st U.S. Girls' Junior Championship. A public, parkland course in central Wisconsin, SentryWorld will host its second USGA championship July 22-27, 2019.
"We look forward to bringing the U.S. Girls' Junior Championship to SentryWorld and the state of Wisconsin for the first time in 2019," said Stuart Francis, USGA Championship Committee chairman. "The world's best female junior golfers are consistently identified in this championship, and we are confident that SentryWorld is a grand stage worthy of providing the ultimate test for these talented competitors."
SentryWorld is Wisconsin's first destination golf course and was developed by Sentry Insurance in 1982 as part of a sports complex that includes indoor tennis courts, banquet space, and restaurants. At the heart of the 200-acre property lies the 7,237-yard championship golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. In 2013, Jones returned to oversee a major renovation that increased the total yardage and upgraded nearly every feature of the course, including new tee boxes to create a greater variety of shots. The project was led by architects Bruce Charlton and Jay Blasi.
"The USGA's championships are undoubtedly among the most prestigious golf events in the world, and we're excited to host the 2019 U.S. Girls' Junior Championship," said Mike James, general manager of SentryWorld and vice president of Sentry Services. "We look forward to hosting athletes from all over the globe on our redesigned course, and SentryWorld will truly provide a world-class environment for all players, officials, and fans."
First conducted in 1949, the U.S. Girls' Junior Championship is open to female amateurs who have not turned 19 on or before the final day of the championship and have a Handicap Index® not exceeding 9.4. Notable champions include three-time winner Hollis Stacy, Mickey Wright, Nancy Lopez, Amy Alcott, JoAnne Gunderson Carner, Pat Hurst, I.K. Kim, Inbee Park and Lexi Thompson. Starting in 2017, Girls' Junior champions earn an exemption into the following year's U.S. Women's Open Championship.
